2024 Dale Holt Patriotic Scholarship

Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly #3068
The Holt family created a scholarship fund for the Bishop Jean Baptiste Miege Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly 3068 to assist high school students further their education and bring attention to 4th Degree assembly programs for the service they provide to our faith and civic communities.
A High School Graduating Senior must be a member of a registered Catholic family from the following parishes: Queen of the Holy Rosary -Wea, Immaculate Conception – Louisburg, Holy Trinity – Paola, St. Philip Neri – Osawatomie, or Sacred Heart – Ottawa.
There will be two $750.00 scholarships awarded annually. This is subject to change based on recommendations from the scholarship committee and approved by the Assembly 3068.
The scholarships will be awarded on the following criteria:
1. Must be attending a College, Community College, or Trade School. (This includes Cosmetology and Technical Schools)
2. The Scholarship Committee has the right to determine whether the secondary institution qualifies for the scholarship.
3. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the approved institution of the recipient’s choice.
4. Selection will be made by the scholarship committee consisting of a panel of judges representing the primary parishes of the assembly. The applicant’s identity will be withheld during the judging.
5. Applicants will use the Queen of the Holy Rosary parish website to register. The Scholarship Application Request Form is below.
All registration forms and essays must be submitted by April 30th.
Awards will be presented by Faithful Navigator and parish committee representative at a Mass from the respective parish during May.
