2023 Dale Holt Patriotic Scholarship

Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly #3068The Holt family created a scholarship fund for Bishop Jean Baptiste Miege Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly 3068 to assist high school students as they further their educations and to bring attention to the importance of service to our country and local communities.
A High School Graduating Senior must be a member of a registered Catholic family from the following parishes: Queen of the Holy Rosary -Wea, Immaculate Conception – Louisburg, Holy Trinity – Paola, St. Philip Neri – Osawatomie, or Sacred Heart – Ottawa.
There will be two $750.00 scholarships awarded annually.
The scholarships will be awarded on the following criteria:- The student must be attending a College, Community College, or Trade School. (This includes Cosmetology and Technical Schools)
- The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to determine whether the secondary institution qualifies for the scholarship.
- Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the approved institution of the recipient’s choice.
- Selection will be made by the scholarship committee consisting of a panel of judges representing the primary parishes of the assembly.
- The applicant’s identity will be withheld during the judging.
- All registration forms and essays must be submitted by April 15th.
- Awards will be announced during May.
- The student must be attending a College, Community College, or Trade School. (This includes Cosmetology and Technical Schools)
