Child Faith Formation
Age 4 through 8th Grade

QHR - Wea's School of Religion is structured to support parents in forming their children to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Children aged 4 through kindergarten participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which is held in person two Sundays per month. They also have at-home activities, which the CGS catechists provide to the parents on the other two weeks per month. Please note: CGS is limited to 15 children per class. 

1st-8th grade SOR Classes are held in-person on two Sundays per month and online the other two weeks per month. My Catholic Faith Delivered and Ascension Press online learning platforms are used for at-home learning the other two weeks per month for 1st-8th grades.

QHR—Wea SOR begins on Catechetical Sunday in mid-September and runs through the end of April (depending on the timing of Easter). For the 2024-2025 SOR year, SOR will start with an in-person class on Sunday, September 15. Please see the calendar provided in the margin to the left. Children meet in the school from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM (between the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday masses). Drop-off is through the main school entrance, the north double doors. 

Additional meetings are scheduled for parents of children in sacrament years (2nd and 8th grades). These meeting dates are on the School of Religion (SOR) calendar provided in the margin to the left.

Enrollment for 2024- 2025 begins August 4, 2024. Parents wishing to enroll their child(ren) and teens in QHR—Wea's SOR should complete the registration form and make their payment by clicking here.
