Holy Matrimony

Holy Matrimony celebrates and witnesses the covenant of love between a man and a woman and symbolizes in that union Christ's covenant of love for the Church. Archdiocesan policy requires that a couple allow six months preparation before their marriage and attend marriage preparation classes and spirituality sessions. All couples preparing for marriage in the Church must meet these requirements. 

If you are planning a wedding, please contact our parish office at (913) 533-2464.  Our parish secretary will take the initial information, share available dates for a wedding, discuss if any fees are involved and set up a meeting with the pastor.  No wedding date will be confirmed until after the engaged couple meets with the pastor.  After meeting with the pastor, the parish secretary will assist you in enrolling in one of the marriage preparation class options.  Two or three months before the scheduled wedding, one of the parish wedding coordinators will contact you to discuss details of the wedding day and ceremony.

To be eligible to get married at QHR-WEA you must be a registered, tithing member for at least 12 months or have grown up at Wea.
