The Rosary Guild began in 2010 and includes members from all over the Kansas City area. The group meets monthly on a Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM in the parish hall to make mission rosaries that are placed locally and around the world. Nuns, priests, and missionaries request mission rosaries because of the crucifix, the meaningful symbol of our faith, and the blessing of this devotion in people's lives. The Rosary Guild also makes all-knotted twine rosaries for Catholic Community Hospice for their St. Joseph prayer boxes distributed to hospice patients and their families as well as St. Therese-style sacrifice beads.
Members of all ages, even young children, are invited to participate. All materials and training are provided at each meeting, and there is no membership requirement - come as you can!
To date, the Rosary Guild has placed more than 16,000 rosaries around the world and at local organizations. For more information on the organization, to include upcoming meeting dates, please visit www.rosaryguildatwea.blogspot.
