“What began as just cleaning up some weeds and planting a few flowers for a Mary Garden has blossomed into an exciting plan for meditation with Our Blessed Mother. We are in the early stages of a rosary meditation path to encircle the area around the St. Mary statue rock section and the new garden behind her. If funds allow, we are hoping to incorporate some new lighting to enhance the meditating experience. We would like to offer the walking pavers in memoriam for a donation. These names would be included in a plaque of some sort to be placed in the area where the rosary would begin (with the cross). (We hesitate to have the pavers engraved due to weathering and wear.) Eventually this could possibly be combined with an outdoor Stations of the Cross. Access to the Mary/Rosary Garden will be ADA compatible. Our vision for this addition to honor our patron saint is wonderfully exciting to us. We ask for her guidance & blessing as we move forward with this project. And we respectfully ask for your prayers and support in completing the endeavor.” - Kathryn Sarnecki & Deb Heine
As we get further into this process and finalize detailed plans we may engage a landscape architect, electrician, etc. Our goal is to have an ADA compliant pathway for all people to enjoy the Rosary.
As part of this endeavor, we’d like to tie this to “Giving Tuesday”, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” What better way to transform our community than through the Virgin Mary!
Thank you. Your Giving Tuesday donation has been completed.
